DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Trains run from the airport's TGV station and serve many nation
al French destinations. A taxi rank is located in front of Term
inal 1, level 1. A taxi desk is also located on level 1 in the
central hall. For Lyon city centre, the airport shuttle bus run
s every 20 minutes departing from bus stop number 1; a return t
icket costs around EUR 15. A four-line metro system and over 85
bus lines service Lyon and its surroundings. Tickets for both
systems are obtained at city kiosks, train stations, vending ma
chines and from bus drivers. Lyon is also great to explore on f
oot; Rue Victor-Hugo and Rue de la Republique traverse the cent
ral city and extend across the Saone River into Vieux Lyon.<
