Le Phenix is an historic hotel with Florentine architecture comprising three connecting buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. It is located on the banks of the Saone in the heart of Lyon's Old Town, within 500 metres of the Opera and the Musée des Beaux Arts. The 36 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in warm colour schemes with contemporary furnishings. All feature wireless Internet access, minibars, hair dryers,safes and satellite television.
Guests can admire the 18th century fireplaces and restored columns in the lobby, relax with a drink and enjoy live jazz music in the bar; although there is no restaurant on site, breakfast is available each morning and the hotel offers room service. Lyon Airport is 35 kilometres from the hotel, a drive of approximately 45 minutes. Trains run from the airport's TGV station and serve many national French destinations. A taxi rank is located in front of Terminal 1, level 1. A taxi desk is also located on level 1 in the central hall. For Lyon city centre, the airport shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes departing from bus stop number 1; a return ticket costs around ¬15.
